AusTeachers has been very fortunate to receive some books to be used as competition prizes for practical contributions to the site. AusTeachers would like to thank those people who have made this first round of prizes possible, Mr. Eric Frangenheim (author) for donating some of his own books and Australia Post for a generous discount on our prize packs.
Eric Frangenheim, author of Reflections on Classroom Thinking Strategies (2002) and The Reconciliation of Goldilocks and the Three Bears (1999), has graciously donated two sets of these two books, for our first contributor's prize.
For a chance to win* one of Eric Frangenheim's great books, all participants must write a lesson plan based on a 'THINKING' concept for the classroom. The lesson plan can be for any school aged child on any theme, but the major focus MUST BE a thinking strategy and this must be clearly stated in your lesson outline.
Your submission should include two sections. The first section is a 50-100 word description of your lesson concept. The second part is a more detailed plan of the activity. The activity does not have to be a long and time consuming plan - just enough detail so that other teachers would be able to easily teach the activity.
